Near His Heart
February 19, 2016
6:00 p.m.

Lakeview Baptist Church
Auburn, Alabama

Speaker
Kempton Turner
Church Planting Pastoral Resident
City of Joy Fellowship

Kempton was raised in East St. Louis, Illinois, but has spent most of his life in Houston, Texas. Most recently, he served on the pastoral staff at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for 7 years before becoming the Church Planting Pastoral Resident at City of Joy Fellowship in East St. Louis, Illinois under the oversight of the elders. Kempton's prayer and hope is that the Lord would establish a joyful, loving, Christ-magnifying local church in his hometown.

Kempton and his childhood sweetheart, Caryn, have been happily married since 1999 and the Lord has blessed them with four children: Christian (12), Carysse (8), Kalia (5) and Caleb (3).
Christian, who is fearfully and wonderfully made, lives with Sturge-Weber Syndrome, which is a malformation of blood vessels in the brain which has caused severe mental delays, he's non-verbal and has seizures. He also struggles with sporadic sleep patterns.

It is our desire at Near His Heart that you be encouraged and uplifted as Kempton Turner shares his joys and struggles of raising a child with special needs.
